There is a need. I realized this when I went to Baton Rouge, Louisiana this spring break, 2017. I didn't think I would be doing enough, that I wasn't enough of the big picture, but then I knew I was. Every person who helps this city, in any way, is participating in a wave. Jobs are needed to be done all over; people helping people rebuild what has been swept away in a storm. Yes, a storm. Not even a hurricane, but a rain storm that happened overnight and destroyed thousands of homes. Louisiana has gone through many trials and tribulations, which started with Hurricane Katrina (although this effected mostly New Orleans, where I worked last year). This small rain storm has not helped by any means, but created more destruction. But things can be rebuilt. There is a hope for Louisiana, the state just needs help.

BATON ROUGE: A WORK IN PROGRESS
